Isohyet

http://pubs.usgs.gov/wri/wri034126/htdocs/wrir03-4126.html

This is a Isohyet map that uses ishyetal lines to show areas of equal rainfall. These maps are helpful in determining what areas receive the heaviest rainfall. This map shows the average yearly rainfall over Guam for the last 50 years and lets the viewer easily see the areas of high precipitation.
